By skilfully combining five different massage techniques, Natalie creates a soothing and highly therapeutic treatment. Traditional Swedish massage strokes blend effortlessly with Californian techniques, Shiatsu meridian work, and acupressure therapy. She also incorporates polarity therapy for a re-energising effect.
Pregnancy and Hands-Free massage
Since qualifying as a Massage Therapist, Natalie has broadened her techniques and talents, studying massage for pregnant women to help release the aches and pains of pregnancy and enrich the bond between mother and child. She has also learnt how to perform a unique ‘Hands-Free’ massage in which she uses her forearms and elbows to deliver a gentle yet deep massage which is particularly beneficial for sore or overworked muscles, making it an ideal treatment for sports people.
Regular massage can help to combat the stresses and tensions of modern living. It also increases the brain’s release of the feel-good hormone serotonin and encourages the body to produce endorphins.
Many athletes, sports people and dancers include massage in their training schedules to aid recovery and to prevent or treat soft tissue injuries. Natalie’s treatments are so effective that many of her patients see her for regular "top-up" sessions!
